Heaven on earth or hell on earth
I don't think Heaven is on earth I feel as though hell is. The struggles that we as humans go through everyday as it pertains to illnesses, financial difficulties and things happening that uproots your life is like a punishment for something we did in the past. If this is not hell I would REALLY hate to see what it really is. I urge you to live right by God, treat everyone with a kind heart, follow the commandments and pray.
Florida's Winter
During the winter season Florida is not the most liked state by other states, they envy us. This happens because whiles people up north spend their time shoveling snow, cutting logs, missing work due to snow storms and having to wear ten layers of clothing we here in Florida get to relax on the beach in the warm sun. This is why we have a lot of bad driving from the month of December to March, the snow bergs. Floridians enjoy the holidays and I wish the northerners much warmth.

Benefits of Exercising
Exercising can help your body in many different ways.
It prevents issues such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure,
diabetes, obesity, and manage stress. Working out 15 minutes a day can add
years to your life. I went full force into a boot camp exercise and I now have
more energy, lost 30 lbs and improved my test anxiety. I urge you to work out
at least three times a week to get healthy and fit.
Positive benefits of video gaming
What if I told
you every time you played Pac-Man, you were sharpening your multitasking
skills? In Pac-Man you navigate your character through a maze like layout while
watching for the separate paths of four additional objects (the ghosts). You
also have to keep your ultimate goal of clearing all the pellets in mind, as
well keeping track of remaining pellets, or how about when you play Tetris you
can increase your problem solving and memory skills. Video gaming, when used correctly,
can have positive benefits for educational and healthcare purposes. I am an avid gamer. I play
everything from 4 Pics 1 word to candy crush. The only games I don’t play are
racing games because I always crash. There is more to video gaming
then most would have imagined. Video gaming platforms are rapidly rising for
educational purposes, and also in the health care industry.

Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei, South Africa on July 18, 1918. He was educated at University College of Fort Hare and the University of Witwatersrand where he studied law. He joined the African National Congress in 1944 and was engaged in resistance against the ruling National Party's apartheid policies after 1948. He went on trial for treason in 1956-1961 and was acquitted in 1961.
After the banning of the ANC in 1960, Nelson Mandela argued for the setting up of a military wing within the ANC. In June 1961, the ANC executive considered his proposal on the use of violent tactics and agreed that those members who wished to involve themselves in Mandela's campaign would not be stopped from doing so by the ANC. This led to the formation of Umkhonto we Sizwe. Mandela was arrested in 1962 and sentenced to five years' imprisonment with hard labour. In 1963, when many fellow leaders of the ANC and the Umkhonto we Sizwe were arrested, Mandela was brought to stand trial with them for plotting to overthrow the government by violence. His statement from the dock received considerable international publicity. On June 12, 1964, eight of the accused, including Mandela, were sentenced to life imprisonment. From 1964 to 1982, he was incarcerated at Robben Island Prison, off Cape Town; thereafter, he was at Pollsmoor Prison, nearby on the mainland.
Nelson Mandela fought hard for equal rights and for freedom. He was an inspiration to a lot of people.
R.I.P Mandela.

Helen Of Troy
Helen is one of the Iliad's most interesting characters. For one thing, she is supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the world. Helen is notable for her conflicted attitude toward her Achaian origins and her new home in Troy. She was the woman the started the war.

The Iliad
A war started over a single fruit. This is where the tale of the Iliad began. It developed over time to become one of the great epics of our society, one that many people all over the world have come to like, sympathizing for each of the characters. Homer's creative use of the Greek language makes it far more interesting, his lengthy descriptions give the mind something to picture. Its as if you were there, standing next to each of the main warriors as these things happened to them. Homeric similes make the picture even more vivid, comparing the Greek and Trojan warriors to everything from deities to boars. Not only is this a tale of war, but the fights that occur between men when their pride gets hurt. How every man has that one thing he will always be mad about. The characters may seem devoid of human emotions, but eventually develop individual personalities. In only a few parts does it seem like only a listing, that the deaths that occur are not actually real people.

THANKSGIVING!
We who are here present thank the Great Spirit that we are here
to praise Him.
We thank Him that He has created men and women, and ordered
that these beings shall always be living to multiply the earth.
We thank Him for making the earth and giving these beings its products
to live on.
We thank Him for the water that comes out of the earth and runs
for our lands.
We thank Him for all the animals on the earth.
We thank Him for certain timbers that grow and have fluids coming
from them for us all.
We thank Him for the branches of the trees that grow shadows
for our shelter.
We thank Him for the beings that come from the west, the thunder
and lightning that water the earth.
We thank Him for the light which we call our oldest brother, the sun
that works for our good.
We thank Him for all the fruits that grow on the trees and vines.
We thank Him for his goodness in making the forests, and thank
all its trees.
We thank Him for the darkness that gives us rest, and for the kind Being
of the darkness that gives us light, the moon.
We thank Him for the bright spots in the skies that give us signs,
the stars.
We give Him thanks for our supporters, who had charge of our harvests.
We give thanks that the voice of the Great Spirit can still be heard
through the words of Ga-ne-o-di-o.
We thank the Great Spirit that we have the privilege of this pleasant
occasion.
We give thanks for the persons who can sing the Great Spirit's music,
and hope they will be privileged to continue in his faith.
We thank the Great Spirit for all the persons who perform the ceremonies
on this occasion.

Aristole definition of happiness
Aristotle says “Happiness depends on ourselves.” I agree with this statement because we cannot depend on someone or something to make us happy. We must find peace with ourselves to enjoy life. Aristotle was convinced that a genuinely happy life required the fulfillment of a broad range of conditions, including physical as well as mental well-being.

The good life
Nowadays the good life is viewed as having money, houses, cars, success and power.
In a religious aspect they see having a good life as having a peace of mind, love, and humanity.
The Bhagavad Gita - They believe that the ultimate reward for doing one’s duty is transcending ordinary, meaning when they die they get to be with Brahman.
In the east they believe that on hard work pays off. They believe in having a good wife, good fortune and mannerly children.

Aristotle
Aristotle was born circa 384 B.C. in Stagira, Greece. When he turned 17, he enrolled in Plato’s Academy. In 338, he began tutoring Alexander the Great. In 335, Aristotle founded his own school, the Lyceum, in Athens, where he spent most of the rest of his life studying, teaching and writing. Aristotle died in 322 B.C., after he left Athens and fled to Chalcis.

The evolution of marriage
The are many differences between the religious stories and the new age with regards to romance and marriage. In the old age marriages where more passionate and sacred. They did not believe in divorce and they did not settle for anyone. Nowadays in the modern society marriage is not as sacred and people are settling for things other than love, like money. Back in the bible lovers were not able to "shack" up.
It was forbidden and now people do it all the time. We have arrived to a point where marriages are not a necessity. Men are using the saying " why buy the cow when you can get the milk free" because women are not putting there foot down and they are just allowing men to use them. In my opinion I still believe that we should be married before we have children or live with someone. I think relationships last longer when its that way because your not rushing into it.

Creating songs from world literature poems
Creating songs out of world literature poems are exciting. You have to use your imaginary skills to use the words of the poem and bring life to them. In class our group chose The Voice and I think it was perfect since I am more of a musical person. I look forward to seeing the other presentation and how everything will be portrayed.

Giants
The story of David and Goliath it acts a symbol to us as human beings. This is a symbol because in life we face so many challenges and most of us whether we know it or not are overcoming them day by day. Like the song says, Giants do fall the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Why these classes?
I am going to be honest. I always wondered, why do we need some of these classes for a certain degree? Well I asked my uncle about it and he said, " The reason you take these minor classes before your major is because companies want to know if you are trainable. These classes are there to mold you into a well rounded person in life." Finally I had an Ah ha moment and it all fell into place. Yay Me! :)

Creation story study
Good evening class!
I created a study on how many persons know that there were two creation stories in Genesis. I asked 10 individuals if they knew about the two creation stories. Nine out of ten said no and one person thought about it for a second and responded "Yes, the creation of the world and the creation of Adam and Eve." I showed them my literature book and now nine people have a better understanding. :)
